In February, we provided training on Communication and Community Engagement. During that event, we had multiple leaders ask that we host a training on ‘Building a Communication Plan’. We are so happy to be able to honor those requests on May 4, 2023. Lisa Trail is returning to provide a clear and concise overview of what a communication plan can include and how school leaders can build a meaningful plan that serves the system and the community. She will speak on that topic from 8:30-10:00, then we will have small group workshops on Communication Plans from 10:00-10:30. After a quick break, Wanda Shelton will begin at 10:45 and model for our members the Solution Summit planning process. You will see how you can use this process to improve communication but also to enhance engagement. Wanda will be modeling by using TOSS ALI planning for the 2023/2024 event year as her topic, so each attendee will also be able to actively support ALI’s event topics for the upcoming year. If you have a communication plan and want to enhance it, if you do not have an official plan and want to create one, or if you have one but want to be able to work with your community more successfully, join us. This is the event to attend if you are also willing to help support and direct the event calendar for TOSS ALI. We know May is a tough month to train, but this one will support your end-of-the-year planning/new school year planning process.
