Recently questions have arisen around purchasing cooperatives specifically, and bids and purchases generally. The Comptroller’s office is currently giving audit exceptions to some school districts that purchase capital / construction projects through purchasing cooperatives. Several architects and contractors are advocating for these purchases from purchasing cooperatives based on their own interpretations of TCA 12-3-1205.
