Dr. Melanie Miller

Legislative liaison

Dr. Melanie Miller served as an educator for 30 years as a high school Spanish teacher, English teacher, school counselor, assistant-principal, principal, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, and as superintendent of schools. Additionally, she taught graduate classes as an adjunct at Tennessee Technological University and Tennessee Wesleyan University.

After retiring from K-12 education, she founded Miller Consulting & Coaching, LLC where she strives to “Help Others Shine” through various coaching, consulting,
and facilitation projects. She holds a BA in English Education, a M.Ed. in School Counseling, a dual Ed.S. in both Administration & Supervision and Curriculum & Instruction, and a Ph.D. in K-12 Educational Leadership.

She is married to Charles and has two daughters, Lynsey and Talley.  She has many hobbies but her greatest enjoyment during her free time is spending time with her family, traveling, and serving on mission projects.
